WordPress KI Agent Experts

WordPress becomes executable AI-driven business processes.

We do not build chatbots into sidebars. We build specialised AI agents that take on defined operational tasks inside WordPress and LearnDash — with a fixed scope of action, a named approval and traceable agent activity.

The trigger

Four weeks after go-live, someone asks.

The moment AI in WordPress gets expensive is rarely the moment of installation. It comes later. Your data protection officer wants to know which content a plugin sent to which provider. A client asks why a bulk email went out to their staff. Management asks who approved a wrong product text that now sits in three hundred articles. At that moment a person has to explain why a system acted the way it did — and they need something to show.

A plugin from the directory will not help. It knows no principal, no scope and no approval; it has an API key and write access. This is where we start: with us, an agent gets a named task, a bounded scope of action and a defined approval level — and what it set in motion can be read back afterwards.

Data protection officer
“Which personal data did this plugin transfer, and to which provider?”
Client in the supply chain
“Who ordered the email to our staff — and who approved it?”
Management
“Why do 300 articles now show prices that never existed?”
Positioning

Not another AI plugin.

ZERYON Systems does not simply build AI for WordPress. We turn WordPress and LearnDash into a controlled platform for specialised AI agents. The focus is not on simple chat add-ons but on professional agents and agentic workflows that take on concrete operational tasks — inside the platform you already run.

Behind this lie three fields that usually come from three different suppliers. We combine them in one architecture, because the handover points between them are exactly where projects fail.

WordPress & LearnDash

Years of platform, plugin and process expertise. We know the hooks, REST endpoints, database schemas and the places where an update undoes everything — not from product sheets, but from running systems.

AI agents & local models

Specialised agents, agent chains, MCP integration and automated workflows. Optionally with local models such as Qwen, Llama or Gemma, when data must not leave the company.

Enterprise control

Permissions, defined scopes of action, approvals, feedback and integration into existing business processes. Without this layer an agent is an experiment, not an operational asset.

Where we stand

We build with what holds today.

AI development for WordPress moves fast. The route that was normal a year ago — an API call in the theme, one prompt per feature — does not carry far today. So we work with what currently holds: specialised agents with a fixed scope instead of single prompts, agent chains for multi-step processes, the Model Context Protocol for connecting tools, and local models such as Qwen, Llama or Gemma when data has to stay in house. That list carries a date — as of 09/2026 — and in a year it will read differently.

Four things follow from that for you. You are not building on an approach that will be left behind in twelve months. What is technically possible today is buildable here today; you are not waiting for a plugin vendor to catch up. Platform knowledge and AI development come from one place, so you are not translating between an agency, a hoster and an AI supplier. And you do not have to watch the market yourself — we follow what arrives and bring in what has held up in projects.

What has been built keeps running regardless: standalone plugins with the source code in your hands, with no call-home dependency on us.

Mechanics

Five steps every agent has to pass.

With us an agent is not a prompt with write access but an enforced sequence. Each step is defined, changeable and verifiable on its own. If a step fails, the agent does not carry on — it reports and stops.

Task
A named task, not an open mandate.
Scope
Which data, which functions, which limits.
Approval
Free, approval-bound or blocked — per action.
Execution
The agent triggers what it is allowed to trigger.
Record
Ordered, approved, triggered — with the response.
Agent chain — four agents, one process chain
Agent Chain: Recherche, Entwurf, Prüfung, Einstellung AGENT 01 Recherche frei · allow AGENT 02 Entwurf frei · allow AGENT 03 Prüfung Regelwerk AGENT 04 Veröffentlichung Freigabe durch Mensch LOG

Every step stays verifiable on its own. A chain does not become permissible just because each step is permissible in isolation — which is why the final stage decides on the chain, not on the single action.

When agent control needs to reach beyond WordPress, there is a dedicated product for that.

Capabilities

Ten fields — each one commissionable on its own.

You do not have to build everything at once. Most projects start with one agent for one task that costs people time today, and grow from there. What follows is the range, not the minimum scope.

01
WordPress AI agents Specialised agents for defined tasks and business processes: preparing content, maintaining records, triaging enquiries, reconciling stock. One agent, one task, one scope.
Agents
02
LearnDash AI agents Intelligent extensions for LMS operations: administration, analysis, quality assurance of course content and support along the learning process. Details on the LearnDash page.
Agents
03
Agent workflows & chains Several specialised agents are connected into complete process chains under control — with defined handovers, checkpoints between steps and an abort path when a step does not hold.
Agents
04
WordPress & LearnDash automation Connecting AI to what already runs: existing plugins, databases, REST endpoints, cron jobs and business systems. Automation happens at the interfaces, not in the model.
Integration
05
Local AI / private AI Local models such as Qwen, Llama or Gemma where data must not leave the company. Running on your own infrastructure, with no forced cloud. See also Local AI.
Operations
06
MCP integration Standardised connection of AI systems and tools through the Model Context Protocol. Your WordPress functions are described once, properly, as tools — and are then usable across models and agents.
Integration
07
Enterprise integration Connecting WordPress to CRM, ERP, DMS, HR, email and other operational systems — with error handling, retries and defined behaviour when the target system does not respond.
Integration
08
Security & governance Controlled permissions, defined scopes of action, approval levels and traceable agent activity. Roles stay separated: whoever writes a rule does not approve it themselves.
Operations
09
Monitoring & performance Monitoring of WordPress and LearnDash systems with automated technical analysis: response times, error patterns, database load, unusual agent runs — before the first user calls.
Operations
10
Custom development Development of individual AI agent solutions instead of interchangeable mass-market plugins — as standalone plugins with source code, documentation and no dependency on us.
Agents
One field fits and the rest is open? Then we cost exactly that one.

Comparison

The difference is not the model. It is the scope of action.

All three routes use the same language models. They differ in what happens next — and in who can explain why it happened.

Attribute AI plugin from the directory ZERYON AI agent
Task General purpose: “writes text”, “answers questions” Named and bounded, with a success criterion
Scope of action The rights of whoever installed it Its own, narrower rights per agent and per action
Approval None — whatever is possible, happens Free, approval-bound or blocked, defined per action
Traceability An error log at best Ordered, approved, triggered — with the response, append-only and chained
Data handling Vendor cloud, often without a choice Local or cloud — decided per agent, not per platform
Chaining Not designed for Agent chains with a checkpoint across the whole chain
Integration Whatever the plugin ships with CRM, ERP, DMS, HR, email, MCP — built onto your stack
Continued operation Dependent on the vendor still existing Source code in your hands, no account with us required

Common questions

Questions on AI agents in WordPress

What is a WordPress AI agent — and how does it differ from an AI plugin?
A plugin from the directory has an API key and write access. An AI agent has a named task, a bounded scope of action, an approval level and a response that gets recorded. The difference is not the model but the question of what the agent is allowed to do at all, and who decided that.
How do we know we are not building on outdated technology?
Because we name what we work with and put a date on it. As of 09/2026 that means specialised agents with a fixed scope, agent chains for multi-step processes, the Model Context Protocol for connecting tools, and local models such as Qwen, Llama or Gemma. In a year that list will read differently; we will then tell you what changed and whether it affects your system. What has been built keeps running regardless — standalone plugins with the source code in your hands.
Can an agent publish content or send emails on its own?
Only if you define it that way. Every action is assigned a level: freely executable, approval-bound or blocked. Publishing, bulk sending and write access to customer data are set as approval-bound by default. A person confirms, the agent triggers, the response is recorded.
What are agent chains, and when do you need them?
An agent chain connects several specialised agents into a process chain: one researches, one drafts, one checks against your rules, one publishes. It makes sense as soon as a task has several steps with different responsibilities. Every step stays verifiable on its own; a chain does not become permissible just because each step is permissible in isolation.
Does our data leave the company?
Not unless you want it to. We run local models such as Qwen, Llama or Gemma on your own infrastructure. Content, customer data and learning progress then stay in house. Cloud models are possible where quality or cost argue for them — that is a decision per agent, not per platform.
What is MCP, and do we need it?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard through which AI systems address tools and data sources in a uniform way. For you this means your WordPress functions are described once, properly, as tools, and are then usable across different models and agents without rebuilding every integration. It is not always necessary — it becomes useful as soon as more than one agent or more than one model is involved.
Does this work with our existing plugins?
Usually yes. We work with WooCommerce, LearnDash, BuddyBoss, ACF, form and membership plugins through their hooks, REST endpoints and database tables. Where a clean interface is missing, we build one. What we do not do is patch third-party plugins in their core — that does not survive an update.
What does an AI agent for WordPress cost?
It depends on the task, the integrations and the approval requirements. The project calculator on this page gives you a non-binding estimate by email within minutes — effort in person-days and a range of about ten per cent. Prices deliberately do not appear on screen, only in the email.
What happens when the model produces nonsense?
We expect it. That is why every agent has a defined fallback: a check that discards the suggestion, an approval level that puts it in front of a person, or an abort with a message. An agent that does nothing when uncertain and says so is the normal case — not the exception.
Who operates and maintains this afterwards?
Either your team or us. The code sits with you, documented and without any licence tie to us. If you want us to operate it, we agree response times, model maintenance and updates in writing. If not, we hand over the operations manual and a briefing — and you can come back at any time.
Why not simply use ChatGPT in the browser?
Because that is a tool for one person, not an operational function. An agent inside WordPress runs without anyone keeping a window open, works on your own data, follows your rules and leaves a trace. You do not need us to phrase an email. You do need us for a process that touches 400 records every night.
And if we stop working with ZERYON later?
Then what was built keeps running. We deliver standalone plugins with source code, documentation and no call-home dependency on us. No agent hangs on an account with us, no function switches itself off when a contract ends.

WordPress becomes an active part of your processes.

From the first task through scope, approvals and integration to operations and further development — controlled, integrable and built for professional use.
